The Key Steps to Creating an Exceptional Piece of Jewelry

In our Parisian workshop, each piece is born from a meticulous process where every detail counts, resulting in jewelry made in France of impeccable quality.

From inspiration to design

Everything begins long before the first sketch. An idea, a feeling, an intuition... At DCP, inspiration can stem from a work of art, a landscape, or an everyday detail. Nothing is insignificant; everything can become a source of creation.

Gradually, a world takes shape. A trend board – rich in materials, textures, and visuals – becomes the guiding thread of this creative exploration. The collection's style takes form in the designer's mind.

Here, jewelry isn't envisioned on paper. It comes to life directly on a mannequin, like a sculpture in the making, imbuing each piece with a soul from the very first gestures.

Then comes the choice of materials, a decisive step guided by observation and experience. Intertwined meshes, long chains, semi-precious stones, pearls, rhinestones, feathers, or acetate... The abstract becomes concrete and the idea comes to life.

Creation of a model and its casting: the excellence of know-how

All our metalwork is exclusive, designed by our stylists and precisely crafted in our workshop in Paris.

Starting with a paper pattern or a sketch, model makers give shape to ideas. Each volume is sculpted in metal with rigor and precision, until it becomes a faithful model, ready to be cast.

These models are then entrusted to our Parisian foundry, a long-standing partner, who produces high-quality fonts, perfectly adapted to the requirements of our creations.

Each piece is then meticulously reworked, adjusted and polished by hand, until it reaches the level of detail and finish expected at DCP.

Finishes and final touches: the perfection of Made in France jewelry

After careful cleaning, each piece of jewelry is coated with a layer of fine gold, palladium or ruthenium, depending on the desired color and intensity.

Our artisans can also use resin to create deep shades, plays on transparency and unique material effects, the visual signature of many DCP pieces.

Some creations are the subject of rhinestone work, requiring patience and finesse, where rhinestones are encrusted one by one, with rigor on the jewel. Their brilliance brings light and movement to the piece, creating a subtle play between shadow and light.

Semi-precious stones, pearls or other ornaments sometimes complete this composition, always with the same attention to detail and sense of balance.

Assembly and quality control: the requirement for a perfect part

Once the finishing touches are complete, the different parts of the jewel are assembled together by hand, adjusted with great precision, until the perfect balance between structure, comfort and aesthetics is achieved, to give birth to an exceptional piece, a true artistic creation of Made in France jewelry.

Before leaving the workshop, each piece of jewelry is rigorously inspected. It is worn, checked, and tested to ensure its durability, comfort, and compliance with our highest quality standards.
